Linden R. Evans has been President and Chief Executive Officer since January 1, 2019, President and Chief Operating Officer from 2016 through 2018, and President and Chief Operating Officer - Utilities from 2004 through 2015. Mr. Evans served as the Vice President and General Manager of our former communication subsidiary in 2003 and 2004, and Associate Counsel from 2001 to 2003.

Kimberly Nooney has been Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since April 1, 2023. She served as Vice President – Treasurer from 2015 to 2023, and also served as the Corporate Controller from 2018 to 2022. She has more than 28 years of experience with Black Hills across numerous roles including internal audit, corporate development, accounting systems, treasury and financial planning and analysis.

Sarah Wiltse joined the company as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer on October 28, 2024. She previously served as Vice President of Human Resources for ACCO Brands, a publicly traded global consumer goods company. Sarah’s career also includes more than a decade with Union Pacific and several years with Compass Minerals, holding senior leadership roles in many aspects of human resources and business operations.

Don Redden has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information and Transformation Officer at Black Hills Energy since July 2025. With over 25 years of IT leadership experience, he previously held the role of Vice President of Information Technology at Otter Tail Corporation and has led teams at Crary Industries, Microsoft and the City of Moorhead.

Darren Nakata has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, Corporate Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer since October 2025. For the prior two decades he held various leadership roles at companies and law firms, including NW Natural, a publicly traded natural gas, water, wastewater and renewable energy company, Vestas, a publicly traded global wind energy company, and Cravath, Swaine & Moore, a premier global law firm. Prior to becoming an attorney, he was an engineering consultant for several years.
